We are currently going through a 12-24 month programme to become a certified organic farm. At that point we can proudly promote the symbol and provide you with the confidence that we provide you with the highest quality and nutritious food.

We breed Border Leicester Sheep
The Border Leicester is renowned for its docility and good maternal qualities. Lambing percentages vary between 165-180%. The clean aquiline head, and not over heavy shoulders mean that the Border Leicester Ram can safely be used on the smallest ewes. They have lovely large erect ears and a roman nose. Their striking appearance and elegant presence make them popular.

Did you know? The breed was nearly wiped out in the Second World War when most was slaughtered during the German occupation. Miss Miriam Milbourne was able to hide a small group of goats allowing the breed to survive.
The breed has an affectionate and docile nature. It has a moderate milk yield. Milk usually has a high butterfat and protein content and so is good for making yoghurt or cheese.
